The Andrade family has dedicated over 120 years to coffee cultivation. They are a founding member of the Brazil Specialty Coffee Association and consistently win awards for their outstanding coffees. The region's climatic conditions—an optimal balance between dry and rainy seasons—along with its volcanic soil, provide the best conditions for coffee plant growth. After harvest season (May - August), the coffee cherries are prepared using the traditional "pulped natural" method. This involves drying the beans in the sun for about a week after the pulp has been removed. Compared to "natural" processing, this results in a softer acidity and a more accentuated body. This directly traded Red & Yellow Catuai (Arabica) from the Capim Branco & Sao Silvestre farms boasts notes typical of its origin, including nut and chocolate, a creamy body, and a subtle acidity of exotic fruits. It's an especially digestible filter coffee perfect for any occasion.
